YAMAHA TACTICAL BLACK RHINO 700

If you spend any time out of doors and off the beaten path (and chances are that as a firearm owner you do), you know how much a toll that sort of terrain can take on your vehicle. Between potholes, rutted dirt roads, and just plain muck, it's no wonder that so many outdoor enthusiasts have turned to the relatively new world of side-by-sides for their off-road travels. Essentially the latest and greatest evolution of the John Deere Gator, these big and burly vehicles combine the control and approachability of a tiny truck (steering wheel, little bed, etc etc) with the off-road durability of a 4x4 ATV. And Yamaha's just released a tactical one. Yes, you read that right: you can now own a tactical side-by-side. Called the Tactical Black Special Edition Rhino 700, it sports an automatic CVT transmission, a dual-range dif locking system (2WD, 4WD High and Low) and just over 45 horsepower from its 700 cubic centimetre motor. So, what makes it tactical? Well, primarily, it features an all-new matte black body and cast aluminum wheels for what Yamaha is calling "tactical design and durability." But it's not cheap; expect to pay roughly $16,000 for that "tactical design."
