FENIX PD35

Everyone likes a good flashlight. Be it to help you find the car keys you dropped in the night, or to investigate that weird noise outside the tent on a camping trip (even though it's always against your better judgement), a good flashlight is a great companion. And these days, a good flashlight means one that's both insanely durable, and insanely bright. The Fenix PD35 is both of those things, and then some. Running off a pair of CR123 batteries or one rechargeable lithium ion battery, the PD35 pairs a small, pocket-friendly size with serious power; producing a maximum output of 850 lumens on its highest of five available brightness settings. Battery life ranges from between 140 hours on its lowest setting to 1 hour, 15 minutes on its highest. And since it uses a high grade CREE LED for illumination, you won't need to worry about changing bulbs or carrying spare... it'll last 50,000 hours! Furthermore, it's tough enough to withstand drops from one metre, and is water resistant to two metres, so you needn't worry about it breaking at the inopportune moment when you need it most. The price? Typically around $75 or so.
